MBW was contracted by Kakira Sugar works to undertake the detailed design review and update of 2 No.s irrigation schemes at Kakira (covering 5400 hectares) and at Kayunga (covering 4200 hectares). Each scheme consists of a piped system connecting the floating/barge pump station at the lake water source to the booster pumps, centre pivots and sprinklers, including rocker pipe, suction pipework, delivery pipe work, different types of valves, support steel framework and grating that forms the working platform of the pump station.
