Project

The Kampala Industrial Business Park (KIBP) is located along kampala – Jinja Highway in Namanve.  The facility sits on 2,200-acres located partly in Wakiso (Kira Municipal) and Mukono (Mukono municipal) Districts. The park was identified by the government of Uganda through the Uganda Investment authority as key enablers to sustain Industrial Development and growth within the country. 

The objectives of the project are to:

The primary focus of UIA now is to provide Critical Infrastructure connecting all clusters in the park to the national grid of roads, water, electricity and sewage. This intervention will trigger the full utilization of the facility since it will be then fully serviced. The infrastructures that have been given critical attention are as follows:

  • Construction of an integrated road network and bridge
  • Construction of a water supply network
  • Construction of a sewerage network
  • Construction of waste treatment plants
  • Construction of power services
  • Construction of fibre optic services
  • Construction of street lighting
  • Construction SME work spaces
  • Other Amenities: High Pressure Water Hydrants, The Gym for the Workers and Police Station

  • Reviewing studies, the designs and specifications;
  • Contract management, and
  • Construction supervision, commissioning, and acceptance tests
