Michael Collins Byakabasa is a chartered accountant and quality management professional. He is the Finance Director and Quality Manager at MBW Consulting.

He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Nicosia, Cyprus as well as a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Statistics and Economics from Makerere University Kampala. He is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a Certified Public Accountant of Uganda under ICPAU. He is also an ISO 9001:2015 Certified Lead Auditor.

Michael has over 20 years of international experience in business, accounting, financial management and ISO 9001 quality management systems. He is proficient in overall financial management and planning as well as liaising with stakeholders on financial and quality management matters thereby ensuring continuous improvement and client satisfaction.

His work experience spans diverse industrial sectors including telecommunications, engineering, consultancy, private sector and non-profit organisations as well as government institutions in East Africa and Europe.

At present, Michael is the Management Representative for quality at MBW and is working tirelessly with the team to help them achieve the company’s vision to be the leading engineering and infrastructure development consultancy firm across East and Central Africa.

Given his unique knowledge, experience and keen interest in small business, he regularly lends his skills as business and financial advisor to several small & medium enterprises and non-governmental organisations.
